Event Description:

The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following 4-H Program for October 2018. This program is being offered by Amanda Morgan, 4-H Youth Development Agent at the UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County (2800 NE 39 Avenue, Gainesville, 32609).

Maker Day Camp – October 19, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (with Mary Lee Andrewskiewicz, 4-H Program Coordinator)

Youth will be learning about electricity, engineering, physics, and even economics in science. All of the projects are going to give opportunities to explore the different principles with minimal guidance, so you will really have a chance to truly understand how to figure out the solutions. There’s no background knowledge needed, so even youth who might like science, technology, or engineering but haven’t had the chance to learn much about it will be able to have a great time learning at this day camp.

Youth will need bagged lunches, and the camp will be held at the Alachua County UF/IFAS Extension Office from 8am to 3pm on Friday, October 19. This is a Teacher Work Day, so it’s a great opportunity for working parents! We have need based scholarships available.
