Soundgarden Founder Chris Cornell Has Died at The Age of 52

News that will come as quite a shock for many fans, Chris Cornel has died at the age of 52. In a statement to The Associated Press, Brian Bumbery says Cornell died Wednesday night in Detroit and was “sudden and unexpected.” Chris Cornel was a founder and front man for the rock band, Soundgarden and also part of the bands Audioslave and Temple Of the Dog; all of which achieved acclaimed success during the 1990s and 2000s.  He was in the midst of a tour with Soundgarden as they played in Detroit last night (5.17.17).

The statement said his wife and family were shocked by it and the family would be working closely with the medical examiner to determine the cause and asked for privacy.
