Picking The Perfect Protein Powder And Bars

Eating healthy and exercising can be a challenge on certain days, especially if you are constantly hungry.  Many people turn to protein bars, which can contain as much protein as a serving of fish or chicken. But you need to be careful as many are filled with empty calories and are nothing more than glorified candy bars!  According to one dietitian protein bars and shakes are a great way of getting a concentrated serve of protein as long as you keep these parameters in mind.  First, opt for a product with less than 200 calories per serving, three grams of fat or less and five grams of sugar or less. As for protein powders, 100% whey is the way to go. Of course, all natural protein sources are preferred but make sure you are not eating a protein bar that sets you back.
