This is one of the stranger stories of lover’s revenge that threatened to put an innocent man in jail for a long time for a crime he didn't commit, when it was discovered that his ex-girlfriend framed him by creating a fake Facebook account and sending herself threatening messages. Tyler Parkervest and Stephani Renae Lawson of Orange County, California were once romantically involved but Stephani didn't want the end of their relationship to go by without him paying for it.  Allegedly, Stephani created a Facebook profile as her ex, Tyler and sent herself 8 disturbing messages threatening to beat and murder herself. Playing her part as the victim, Stephani contacted police and Tyler was arrested and charged with stalking, threatening, kidnapping and battery.  He denied ever sending the messages but faced felony charges based on Stephani's claims. However it was the prosecutors who started to see flaws in Stephani's testimony just as the case was about to start in court.  It didn't take long before the District Attorney was able to track the IP address of the computer used to create the fake profile back to Stephani. Unable to explain, Stephani admitted that the threats were all a hoax and that Tyler was innocent of the crimes he was accused of committing.  She was sentenced to one year in jail as part of a plea deal and all the charges against the ex-boyfriend were dropped.
