When Pollen Is At Their Peak Of The Day

April 4, 2018

It's no surprise that Florida has an early spring allergy season. Sneezing, watery eyes and itchy skin are all part of the spring awakening.  But you can minimize your symptoms by playing it smart during allergy season. For instance, certain pollens are in stronger forces depending on the day with grass pollens released into the air in the early morning around 7 and later, while trees release pollen during the early and late afternoon. So with grass pollens high now, tailor your outdoor activities to the afternoon since most of the trees have finished pollenating.  But be careful as night falls as air lifts them high into the atmosphere during the day. When air cools down, as dusk falls, pollen starts to descend. You may well be exposed to one of these ‘pollen showers’ in the early hours of the morning. Similarly, if you have a serious mold or dust allergy, then the severity of your allergic reaction will be extremely dependent upon how much of these things are floating around in the air your breathe. You can so keep your indoor allergens at bay by washing your sheets frequently, avoid carpeting if possible, and minimize the humidity in your home as much as you can.
