Now that the holidays are over, let's talk about a vacation to the U.S. Virgin Islands. Now we know your bank account needs some time to recover but to mark the 100th anniversary of the United States taking control of St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix from Denmark, the islands are offering visitors $300 to spend exploring the place. Now before your mind goes crazy on how to spend the free money, there are some conditions.  The $300 isn't exactly cash, they're credits to use to explore the islands, such as eco-tours, museums, food tours and kayaking adventures. But the credits cover everything on the list, except gratuity. To score your free $300 for visiting the U.S. Virgin Islands, book a trip for at least three through the official tourism web site [CLICK HERE] and the department of tourism will send you $300 in credits. These are actual paper you can use just like cash at any of the participating locations and no, you do not need a passport as long as you are a U.S. citizen. And if you happen to travel in March, the month of the actual centennial, the Department of Tourism will throw in a commemorative souvenir!
