Twitter Recommending All Users Change Password

A great big "oops" as Twitter is recommending all of its 336 million user change your password after a computer glitch exposed login credentials in an internal memo.  Apparently Twitter uses a hashtag system which shows random characters in place of the actual passwords.  Instead a software bug showed the plain-text of passwords to any Twitter employee who accessed the list. The company declined to comment on when the bug was discovered, how long it had been storing passwords in this manner and how many passwords were affected but now the issue has been corrected.
