While Facebook, Instagram and Twitter are fun ways to keep in touch with friends and family, watch cat videos and even catch up on news, more employers are doing background checks on current and future employees. So an embarrassing tweet from 2010, Facebook rant from 2014 or the drunk Instagram picture from 2012 could signal trouble.  But with hundreds and perhaps thousands of postings dotting the Internet how can you safely and quickly remove them all?  Well each platform give instructions on how to hide or delete posts, tweets and pictures.  But a quicker way to sift through years of data is to download an add-on to do it for you.  Facebook Post Manager for Chrome can delete by month, year or keywords. Instagram has a few apps for Apple and Android devices that are free and work similarly by deleting by month, year or keyword. For Twitter, download wiping extensions such as Cardiagan and Twoolbox to wipe away your past from Twitter. However if you want to keep a personal record of your Tweets, go to the Twitter Settings page and "Request Your Archive" and download it to your computer.
