Toddler Milk Formulas Are Mostly Sugar And Salt

There's a new scam on the market and it involves your children.  Researchers at New York University and the University of Connecticut warn parents that giving your child transition drinks when switching from infant formula or breast to milk is not only a waste of money but bad for them. They're called toddler formula, toddler drink, toddler milk or milk drink is marketed towards children 1 to 3 years old and while they may sound like a nutritious beverage, they're laden with corn syrup, added sweeteners, vegetable oil and contain more sodium and less protein than cow's milk. What makes it even harder to spot are the nutrition claims on the mixture even though pediatricians do not recommend giving them to your child. The researchers recommend that the FDA provide guidance or propose regulations to ensure the appropriate labeling of toddler drinks.  . The American Academy of Pediatrics and the World Health Organization recommend that children from the age of one drink cow's milk in combination with eating healthy foods.
