While the garbage can gets most of the attention when it comes to bad kitchen smells, the kitchen sink can harbor some foul smells of its own thanks to all the food particles, grease and normal use. So here are some tips to rid your sink on stink!  If you have a garbage disposal, fill your sink up with hot water and sudsy soap.   Pull the drain plug once full and turn it on.  If you're still getting a funky smell, throw in few ice cubes and a handful of kosher salt down the disposal to help clean the blades.  Toss in a few lemon peels for freshness. If you don't have a garbage disposal, try pouring boiling water down the drain. You can amp up the boiling water cleanse with pouring one cup of baking soda down the drain and follow it with two cups of vinegar.  Let it bubble for a minute or two and follow it with boiling water.  Once your drain is rid of the smell, keep it fresh by periodically sprinkling baking soda down the drain to absorb odors. You can do this after you wash the dishes or just once a week, but it's especially useful when you're headed out of town and won't be using your sink for a while.
