If you've recently purchased ground turkey from Publix and Aldi, you need to know they've been recalled because they may have metal shavings mixed in with the meat. Prestage Foods, which makes the pre-packaged products sold under store names, issued the recall of approximately 38,475 pounds of ground turkey that were produced on September 25 and 26, 2017.  The recall includes Publix ground turkey breast with natural flavorings and Publix ground turkey with natural flavorings” white Styrofoam packages that weigh 1.3 pounds, or 20.8 ounces. as well as Fit & Active Fresh Ground Turkey With Natural Flavoring, sold at Aldi in White Styrofoam packages that weigh 1.2 pounds, or 19.2 ounces.  All the recalled packages have a number printed on the side of the tray, with the first four digits of 7268 and 7269. If you have these products, return them to the store where they were purchased, or throw them out.
