Preserve Your Clothes By Ironing Them

August 31, 2017

You have a lot of time and money invested in your wardrobe.  The last thing you want to happen is for those perfect closet of clothes to wear out early.  Unfortunately every time you wash and dry you clothes you are causing the fabulous fabric to become dryer lint. But there is a solution especially for those cooped up inside a 72°F building.  Skip the dirty clothes hamper and give your clothes a quick iron.  For the most part, clothes only look dirty, with creases in shirts, pants and skirts from sitting and using a keyboard all day.  So if you've avoided a coffee spill or mustard drip and you didn't sweat profusely walking from your office to your car, just give your shirt and pants a quick iron or use a steamer on dresses and blouses that are delicate.  You can even "air out" your clothes and let the sun's UV naturally eliminate many odors.  Although you will eventually need to wash those clothes, you can slow down the "linting" process and enjoy your threads a bit longer.
