Police Stop Driver For Using A Marker To Change Registration Sticker

May 11, 2017

Renewing your car's registration isn't one of the items you look forward to on your birthday but trying to fool the system by renewing your tag with a permanent marker is just asking for trouble.  A Florida Highway Patrol officer pulled over an Orlando driver because something just didn't look right with the car.  What didn't look right was the yellow registration sticker that indicates the expiration month and year of your vehicle’s registration.  Apparently the man had taken a marker to change the 7 in the year, to an 8.  While he may have been be a Picasso in his art, the driver was fined $70 for not having his car registered and the officer removed the altered sticker.
