Who needs a pumpkin to carve out a jack-o-lantern, when a pineapple is up for the challenge! At a time when pumpkin-flavored food items keep multiplying, the pineapple, more associated with summer than fall, is stepping in as the newest jack-o-lantern canvas. Carving a pineapple is pretty much like carving a pumpkin.  Cut off the top of the pineapple, hallow out the insides and carve a face in the skin, then replacing the spiked top for a twist on this traditional Halloween item. Being that our fall weather really doesn't start until after Halloween, the pineapple jack-o-lantern may be the perfect fit for Florida!
