Ocala Fire Museum Opens Today

Marion County has a special bond with firefighters, from the Florida State Fire College to E-One which makes fire trucks and emergency vehicles, and now will be home to the Ocala Fire Museum.  The new museum on NE 21st Street (Ocala Fire Rescue Administration Building) the officially opens today with the 131 year history of artifacts that has kept Ocala and Marion County safe from fire.  From alarms, to sirens, to antique fire hydrants, ladder trailer and even a jump sheet, you can be part of the grand opening this evening at 5:30 with a ceremony open to the public.
