In our lifetime there was been three types of chocolate, dark, milk and white.  However that is about to change as the first new option of chocolate in 80 years has been unveiled, ruby chocolate.  The new type of chocolate is from Ruby cocoa beans and is natural and does not contain any dyes or added flavors.  It was created by the world’s largest cocoa-processing company, Barry Callebaut, who worked years on developing ruby chocolate.  Ruby chocolate has an intense taste and characteristic reddish color that has a berry flavor that is silky smooth in texture. No word as to when ruby chocolate will be available in local stores.  The last time there was a new type of chocolate was in the 1930s when Nestle introduced white chocolate.
