We get inspired by the Pinterest pins of crafty cooking only to realize our cooking skills are not up to the task.  Now there is a baking show to celebrate our delightfully awful baking failures. Nail It is a new Netflix series that takes home bakers with a terrible track record on a trek to take a crack at re-creating edible masterpieces for a $10,000 prize. Contestants are tasked with two different challenges, a recreation of a simpler baked good, like an emoji cake, and the second is an intensive multi-tier cake designed by a guest judge. While the first round has no bearing on the second round, the winner of the first round acquires a field-leveling advantage, like a freeze button that stops the other two competitors in their tracks for three minutes. The winning contestant gets to wear a gold sparkly hat, crowning them the "one to beat" and $10,000. While the show doesn’t celebrate the best in presentation, it does allow contestants the chance to win cash for the effort. The gist of the show is to make something overly complex not look entirely awful. Six episodes of season 1 of Nailed It is now streaming on Netflix now.
