It is getting harder and harder to find out if the web site you are visiting for news is a legitimate news site or a fake one filled with fake stories.  62% of Americans say they get their news from social media platforms and many of those news sources are not creditable.  So a computer programmer took matters into his own hands and created B.S. Detector, which warns you of an uncreditable news source on any Facebook news post.  It isn't perfect, the filter detects the sites, not the content of the articles themselves, and is only limited to the sources developer, Daniel Sieradski has flagged.  But he is not alone in the quest to rid the web of untrustworthy sources, four college students have created FiB, which also flags news stories are being real or fake.  Both services are only available on Google's Chrome Internet Search Engine.  After downloading the extensions, your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms should be easier to navigate through the real and fake.
