There's a new contender for the world's worst date, which is now in small claims court as the plaintiff, Brandon Vezmar, is seeking the $17.31 he spent on a date because she was texting during a movie.  Back on May 6th, the 37-year old man his 35-year old date at an Austin, Texas movie theater to watch Guardians of the Galaxy 2 in 3D. Brandon plopped down the cash for the tickets and prepared to enjoy the movie while getting to know his date.  However things turned horrible quickly, according to court paper filings, when his date activated her phone at least 10-20 times in 15 minutes to read and send text messages. He states he asked her to stop and suggested she leave the theater to text, to which she did but never returned.  The woman, who asked to withhold her name told a local newspaper that she only texted on her phone in the theater two or three times and held her phone low to not disturb anyone as her friend was having a fight with her boyfriend.  She feel she owes him nothing because he asked her out on a date. Nonetheless, Brandon felt it was "a kind of a first date from hell" and wants his money back for the movie ticket.
