Doing This Will Lessen The Chance Your Marriage Ends in Divorce

July 26, 2018

Nearly half of all marriages end in divorce with many citing irreconcilable differences as the cause. Many couple simply realize they do not work together, even though at one time they were madly in love.  But there is one thing couples can do to decrease their chances of ending up divorced, wait before getting married. Marriage expert’s advice couples to wait at least a year and upwards of two to three years before tying the knot. Mainly because romantic love and infatuation lasts, on average, 12 to 18 months .So, couples who wait until after the infatuation has faded can see each other more realistically. In other words once that love honeymoon is over, you may not feel the same way about your partner and if you are married the chances of it ending rise drastically. Research also shows the couples with the highest divorce rate are those who married in their late teens and early twenties.
