The Latest Time You Can Drink Coffee Without It Affecting Sleep

As you sit with your first cup of coffee of the day, you may wonder how late in the day can you enjoy this deliciousness before it interferes with your sleep.  Well the general rule of thumb from nutritionist is 6 to 8 hours before you go to bed.  If you are caffeine-sensitive you should aim for 12 hours.  Coffee causes the stress hormone cortisol is stimulated and hinders melatonin, which effects your sleep. The problem is there is no perfect cut-off time for everyone.  As each body process caffeine differently, it’s a trial and error process.  However by drinking high-test or organic coffee, which generally will leave your system faster than other types.
