It's Easy To Be Green In 2017 As the Color of The Year Is Unveiled

December 9, 2016

You may have never heard of Pantone but think of it as the Tiffany's of paint.  It is the reference for professional color standards in the design world and they have announced the color for 2017, a zesty yellow-hue" of "Greenery."  Officially known as Pantone 15-0343, it is described as a "life-affirming" shade of green foliage, grass and green apples that evokes the first days of spring and the pursuit of personal passions and vitality. Pantone says every color of the year is a reflection of society, to which they say is "a color snapshot of what we see taking place in our global culture that serves as an expression of a mood and an attitude." With our nation divided socially and politically going into 2017, Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, believes that "greenery" represents our "desire to rejuvenate and revitalize."
