How Often Do You Wash Your Towels?

It's part of your routine.  You shower and you dry off with a towel.  Many times when you are dry, you hang up the towel to dry off after your next shower.  But how often can you do this before that once clean towel is dirty?  Hygiene experts have a number and it is three.  Come to find out, towels are a breeding ground for germs and bacteria and it's the perfect storm of water, warm temperatures, oxygen, a neutral pH, and even food in the dead skin people.  Because of all this microscopic activity that could leave you feeling sick, cause pimples or even worse, hygiene experts say that towels should not be used more than three times before tossing it into the washing machine. And don't even think about sharing a towel as the risks of coming in contact with germs increases significantly.
