Good Foods That Get A Bad Rap

Bacon, red meat, fried "anything" has always been a lovable sin for your body but some foods get a bad rap but are actually good for you.  For instance, peanut butter, long considered unhealthy because of its high fat content.  However fat isn't always bad.  A nutritionist recently wrote a report supporting a food's healthfulness based on its balance of nutrients, not just its fat content. As it relates to peanut butter, research shows that people who routinely eat nuts or peanut butter are less likely to develop type 2 diabetes and heart disease and although peanut butter contain fats, it is roughly the same ratio of unsaturated to saturated fat as olive oil. That bread you cut out should be sliced back in your diet. As with fats, not all carbs are bad, you just need the right ones. The key is choosing the right type of bread. Skip white bread with a ton of sugar and embrace whole grains. Whole grains are good for your overall health. Finally butter.  yes the delicious dairy product is Ok, in moderation, even though its ratio of saturated to unsaturated fat may not be as optimal as olive oil's or peanut butter's, itis better for your health than processed carbohydrates like sugar.
