Gainesville Police are looking to reunite the owner or owners of 16 potted marijuana plants left outside near Norton Elementary School.  Earlier this week an off-duty Alachua County Sheriff Deputy discovered the plants while walking his dogs along a pathway south of the school and notified Gainesville Police. In all, 16 individually potted plants were rescued from the path and are being held safely until the owner or owners can claim them.

Officers Holcomb, Ouimbayo and Kikendall left this note in case the owner/owners wondered what happened to their plants.

As far as we know, no one has yet called to claim the apparent orphaned plants.
