Four Easy Steps To Incorporate On The Road To Success

It could be your old habits are to blame for the lackluster career performance. Although successful have smart business sense, superior social skills and perhaps some luck on their side, most financially successful people share four traits we can easily add to our lives.  #1-CHOOSE PRODUCTIVITY OVER BUSYNESS.  There is a difference where being busy doesn't necessarily mean you are being productive.  Prioritize tasks that produce results, like leaning a language over online shopping.  Both actives keep you busy but learning a new language pays off more than a new pair of shoes.  #2-WAKE UP EARLY.  Sorry night owls, most successful people are early birds.  A recent study found morning people are more proactive with fresh minds to contemplate which tasks needs to be addressed first.  That means you should wake up with a couple of hours of undistracted time before the routine of the day begins. #3-THEY LOOK GOOD, or perceive themselves as looking good and that lead to confidence. Finally, SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO DELAY GRATIFICATION.  40 years ago an experiment began with children, called the "Marshmallow Experiment", where a child was placed in a room with a researcher and one marshmallow on the table. The researcher told the child that he was going to leave the room and that the child could eat the marshmallow while he was away. However, if the child was able to wait until the researcher returned, they would get two marshmallows instead of just one. Some children ate their marshmallow and others patiently waited for the researcher to return so that they could get two.  The study continued to track the child through life and that they found was the kids who were willing to delay gratification had higher SAT test scores, lower levels of substance abuse, lower likelihood of obesity, better responses to stress, better social skills as reported by their parents, and generally better scores in a range of other life measures. IT shows that if you are willing to relay gratification in order to receive something greater down the road, you can increase your chances of finding success.
