: We often look for ways to help you get a good night's sleep.  From exercise to sleeping aids, finding a peaceful night can be hard and a lot of that is due to stress, so let’s take a look at some foods that may help you reduce that stress and fall asleep without the need for a pill.  Sweet potatoes are a great source of potassium which should help you relax. Spice things up by spreading your sweet potato on a piece of toast to cut down on dishes.  Munch on some blueberries (which are in season).  Blueberries contain valproic acid, which is a chemical that stabilizes your mood.  Yogurt is a good choice too as it helps control stress and is good for your bones and skin.  Oatmeal may sound like a morning food but some before bed should help you fall asleep (just be careful of not adding too much sugar). Finally Salmon, which is one of the best super foods to munch on since it has omega-3 fatty acids, which reduce stress hormones.
