One of the hardest parts of trying to lose weight is the consent nagging from your stomach that you're hungry. Fortunately scientist have released a report that reveal which foods fills us up best and signals the brain that we're full. Chicken, mackerel, pork shoulder and beef sirloin steak are among the most filling foods as well as plums, apricots, avocados, lentils and almonds. It comes down to the amino acids these foods contain, called tanycytes, which signals the brain that you are no longer hungry.  Other foods high in this amino acid include anchovies, parmesan cheese, sesame seeds, peanuts, crab,  walnuts and pistachios. Amino acids, found in protein-rich animal products, fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds, are already known to be the best nutrients for satisfying hunger and keeping us full for longer. This is because protein is digested more slowly and does not cause the rise in blood sugar which makes us crave more food soon after finishing a meal.
