The saying goes, "What's good for the goose is good for the gander" as a mother of a 5 year old is arrested after leaving the boy locked inside a hot car for over 30 minutes while she sent shopping.  Last week, a 30 year old Colleen Walker went to a South Daytona Dollar General and left her son inside the parked car with no A/C and only the front door window partially open.  A call was received by police who responded to find the boy crying and sweating profusely as a firefighter recorded the temperature inside the car at 107 degrees.  As they prepared to rescue to boy, Colleen and her 3 year old daughter returned to the car, where she informed police that she was only in the store for 12 minutes and that her son didn't want to go inside.  However police review the store surveillance to find Coleen was in the store for nearly 30 minutes, causally shopping and talking on her phone.  The boy was examined by fire/rescue and appeared to be OK while Coleen was arrested for child neglect.  Ironically as she was handcuffed and placed in the back on a police cruiser, she complained the patrol car was too hot and requested the a/c to be turned up.
