Florida Is The Most Sinful State In The Union

February 23, 2018

Once again, WalletHub confirmed a widespread suspicion about Florida that we’re the best at being bad. The personal finance website took a look at the seven deadly sins: Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, Pride. Taken as a group, FLorida is #1, beating out California, Nevada, Texas and Georgia as The Most Sinful State in the Union. Florida ranked No. 1 in Jealousy, which was defined as wanting someone else’s stuff badly enough to rip them off for it. Florida rqanked fourth in Pride or vanity, as we have more beauty salons per capita than any other state while New York claimed teh #1 spot. FLorida is seventh in laziness, where he share of adults not exercising; average weekly hours worked; volunteer rate; average daily time spent watching TV; high school graduation rate; share of population from 18 to 24 not in school, working or with a degree beyond high school were combined. Nevada is #1 in this category. Despite our reputation as terrible drivers, Florida ranked ranked 21st in Anger & Hatred (wrath), which looked at crime, abuse, hate groups, bullying and sexual offenders.
