Florida Man Willingly Causes Traffic Accident To Teach A Lesson

November 22, 2017

Deliberately driving your car into another one to prove a point about running a stop sign isn't very smart but it could be very Florida!  61-year old Bruce Homer of Clermont has been noticing drivers blowing off a stop sign at an intersection for quite some time.  His wife was nearly hit by another vehicle rolling though a stop sign. So he decided to take the law into his own hands Sunday and drove into a path of an SUV that didn't stop at the intersection, causing the airbags of the SUV to deploy.  Homer called 911 to report the incident and even told the 911 dispatcher that he'd been telling police for years that something like this would happen.  It didn't take long for authorities to discover that Homer deliberately caused the accident.  Fortunately no one was injured but Homer has been charged two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and reckless driving. As to the intersection, The Lake County Sheriff's Office say their department has issued 70 tickets for people running through stop signs at that intersection since January of this year.
