Florida Law Enforcemnt Agencies Warns to Avoid Creepy Clown Costumes Tonight

If you had planned as dressing up as a clown for Halloween tonight, you may want to reconsider your choice.  That is a real warning from many law enforcement agencies in Florida as some trick-or-treaters say they plan to pack heat in the wake of scary clown sightings and some startled, trigger-happy gun owners could open fire in defense of themselves or their children. And police have reason to worry. Creepy clown masks have been hot sellers this year at Halloween stores and with confronted citizen’s taking the law into their own hands when being frightened by sinister clowns emerging from the darkness only to be met with violence.  From pistol-whippings in California to a Miami boy being hit by a car when fleeing a clown. Miami police spokeswoman Yelitza Cedano Hernandez said while it is not prohibited to dress like a clown, if this prank leaves someone injured, the prankster is going to be arrested and the victim's family can take the person to court. Not to mention Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” self-defense law could leave a prankster seriously or mortally wounded.
