There's an art to flirting, especially with your eyes. Responsible for receiving 80% of the information from the outside world and eighteen times more sensitive than our ears, our eyes are capable of responding to one and a half million simultaneous messages. But there is a fine line between a glance of interest and a stare than can result in stalking charges! So here are some expert tips on successful eye contact.  Our eyes normally take three seconds to scan a person; a few extra seconds of looking means there is interest.  But remember staring is creepy, so if you see someone you'd like to get to know and want to know if they feel the same way, try the slide and settle technique.  Let your eyes settle on someone so they’re aware you’ve noticed them, then as they’re still watching you, slide your eyes around the room before settling back on them again. If someone’s eyes instead slide away from yours to the side or upward and don’t return after a minute or two, they’re almost definitely not interested. Pay attention, if they're blinking more often at you that is a sure sign they’re interested in getting to know you.  That’s because the brain associates rapid blinking with finding someone attractive.  The more you blink at someone, the more attracted you feel to them. If you feel the glancing and blinking are working, go for the bank and give a wink.  A quiet wink matched with a sexy smile can be incredibly bonding simply because it’s secret and implies the two of you are closer than others present.
