Flamin' Hot Cheetos Nearly Cause a Gas Station Fire

August 31, 2016

Flamin' Hot Cheetos lived up to their name at a St. Louis gas station, where 33 year old Joshua Crook attempted to steal a bag of Flamin' Hot Cheetos Sunday.  However his five finger discount was denied as the manager told Crook to either put it down or pay for it.  Crook was happy with either option, well because when you've got Flamin' Hot Cheetos on your mind, you must have them! So Crook punched the manager in the face, according to the police report, and in a fit of rage, went outside, pulled a gas hose from a vehicle and slammed it on the ground, while it continued to pump gas.  Crook allegedly then threw a lit cigarette onto the pooling gas. Fortunately, the fire was quickly extinguished. Police arrested Crook and charged him with first-degree arson, third-degree assault, theft of less than $500 and first-degree trespassing.
