Fill Those Empty Shipping Boxes & Send Them To a Charity For Free

December 27, 2017

Now that our presents have been opened, what do you do with all those shipping boxes left from your online shopping binge? Well you can always recycle them in the cardboard recycle bin.  Or you can fill them up with items you no longer want and donate them to charity.  Amazon has partnered with Give Back Box, where you can ship unwanted items to charitable organizations for free.  It's simple too.  Simply visit and enter your zip code and email address [CLICK HERE].  In the meantime, fill an Amazon box, or any shippable box, with clothing, appliances, movies, shoes, jewelry, toys or anything you no longer want (except electronics, any liquids, fragile, hazardous or volatile items, or ammunition in the boxes).  The Give Back Box web site will generate a shipping label to print.  Simply attach it to the box and drop it off in the mail.  No time to visit the post office? Let them know and they're schedule a pick up from with the post office or UPS for free.  Your donated items will be sent to a participating charitable organization, which will sell the items and use the money for community-based programs, including job training, employment placement services and support services such as financial education and transportation. And for those looking for tax deductions, Amazon also gives you the option of receiving a tax deduction via email, which is something worth considering as the year comes to an end.
