Don't Order Diet Coke on Flights

July 19, 2017

The Daily Mirror claims flight attendants wish passengers wouldn't order Diet Coke on flights because it takes longer to pour the drink than other cocktails. The cabin's low air pressure makes the drink fizzier than other sodas. One flight attendant, who wishes to remain annoymous, tells the paper "Soft drinks foam up a lot more when poured out of the can, and the worst culprit is Diet Coke. I literally have to sit and wait for the bubbles to fall before I can continue pouring. If all 3 passengers asks for Diet Coke I'll often get them started, take another three drink orders, serve those, and then finish the Diet Cokes."
