It's not every day you see a dog standing on the roof of a house.

That is apparent for an Austin, Texas family and their beloved, Huckleberry, a Golden Retriever who has learned to jump on the roof! Neighbors and passersby become alarmed at the sight of a dog that appears to be stuck on the roof.  But as those concerned approach the home's front door to alert the owners, they're greeted with a semi-permanent sign that reads, "Huckleberry is living up to his name and learned how to jump onto our roof from the backyard.  We never leave him in the backyard without someone being at home.  He will not jump off unless you entice him with food or a ball.  We appreciate your concern but please do not knock on our door.  We know he's up there. But feel free to take pictures of him and share with the world. #hucktheroofdog."

Apparently there is about a 2 1/2 to 3 foot gap between the home's roof and a hill in the backyard.  Huckleberry's owners said it was just a matter of time of when he'd figure out the roof could be an extension of the backyard, which took him about 6 months to discover. Huck the Roof Dog has more than 3,000 followers on Instagram.
