Creepy Clown Sightings Cost Ronald McDonald His Job

October 13, 2016

The recent barrage of creepy clown sightings across the county has claimed its latest victim, Ronald McDonald.  McDonald’s has officially cut back on their mascot’s appearances. The global icon for the fast food franchise for decades has had to cancel appearances and cut back his work until the creepy clown phase settles down, but the creepy clown phenomenon may just be getting started as clown costume sales have gone up by as much as 300% compared to last year's sales at a Halloween chain store. While it is perfectly legal to dress as a creepy clown to spook unsuspecting people, according to local law enforcement officials, it is illegal in Florida it’s illegal for someone to wear a mask, hood or any other item that conceals the identity of the wearer on public or private property as well as illegal to wear any item to conceal one’s identity with the intent of intimidation. Not to mention the risk to the prankster from of those carrying concealed weapons who feel threatened.  It may be in their rights to shoot their firearm in defense.
