It's no surprise that soft drink companies are looking to replace revenue streams lost as people are losing their taste for the fizzy drinks. This is leading to some creative products, such as Coca-Cola Coffee Plus. Think of it as a marriage of coffee and soda and it is showing up in soda vending machines in japan.  While cans of Coca-Cola Coffee Plus are half the size of its regular size soda can cousin, it contains 50% more caffeine!  So one can of Coca-Cola Coffee Plus contains only 42 calories compared to 180, it packs as much caffeine as a cup of coffee. The drink is reportedly made using sweeteners, and the coffee is added in the form of extract powder. As for the flavor of the drink itself? One person’s review says there is a "strange scent that is neither Coke nor coffee" and although they didn't think it was delicious, it wasn't as bad as they thought.
