Chances Are That You Are A Reduceatarian

June 4, 2018

A vegetarian is someone who doesn't eat meat, a vegan doesn't eat anything animal-based and paleotarians eat as our hunter-gather ancestors did.  While there are many reasons for choosing a diet, many people are turning out to be reducetarians. A reducetarian is someone who wants to help the planet by giving up meat and dairy, but also likes eating them too much to give them up entirely, so they just try to cut down. A study found that about 40% of people are trying to reduce the amount of meat they eat, and about half of them don't even realize they're doing it. Whither it's your health or the environment, if you only eat meat four times a week, rather than seven or 10, then you’re effectively halving your consumption. If everyone on Earth did the same, it would add up to a huge positive effect on the environment.
