Did you know it's possible to use your car keys to unlock someone else's vehicle? Fox News reports most car manufacturers only have about 3,500 lock combinations, which means while it's highly unlikely, there is a possiblity of someone gaining access to your car. The Open Organization of Lockpicker's Jacob Botden said the issue is very well known among his community. He says, "Until more concern, publicity and complaints are brought out, this will not be of significant concern for auto makers and they won't spend the money needed to correct this." He added that while it is possible to have your keys open a strangers door, the likelihood of starting the car is far less.
