A rose by any other name is still a rose, but for humans your name does match your personality and features.  According to a study in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, a person's facial features actually become those we associate with their particular name. So you actually grow into your name. The study took two groups of people from France and Israel and showed them photos of different people and asked to guess that person's name from a list of five possible names.  Although the random odds put the participants with a correct guess of 20% but participants correctly guessed 35% of the time.  Previous studies have established that people judge you by your name. For instance, those named Scott as more popular than one named Herman and you'll see a Katherine as more successful than a Bonnie.  One researcher concluded, "This research opens an important direction that may suggest how parents should consider better the names they give their children."
