Parents have been reading bedtime stories to their children for a long as there have been books.  But this is the 21st century and while the traditions of the past live on, technology is making them more interesting. The Novel Effect app is the first of its kind that adds sound effects and music to bedtime stories!  Similar to Siri Alexa, Novel Effect uses voice recognition technology to track the story you are reading and like a director of a movie, inserts sound effects and music in response to certain cue words.  The app recognizes many popular bedtime stories such as Where the Wild Things Are, The Polar Express, The Hungry Caterpillar, and The Cat in the Hat. Just open the app as you rad the physical book and it listens to your every word; adding music and sounds as the story unfolds. The company is adding more children’s book titles to its library.  But eh app might just be the start, as Novel Effect is part of Amazon’s Alexa Accelerator, which means your home's Alexia might soon be able to add a bit more reality to your bedtime stories! The app is free for iPhone, iPad and Android [CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD].
