America Voted This As Their Favorite Halloween Candy

Drumroll please!  America's favorite Halloween candy is: Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, so says a candy survey of over 8,000 people.  FiveThirtyEight asked those 8000+ people to vote on over 269,000 candy choices to determine which "Fun Size" candy is king. The mixture of chocolate and peanut butter took four out of the top 10 slots, with 84.2% of respondents saying Reese's Peanut Butter Cups is their favorite for Halloween, followed by Reese’s Miniatures, Twix, Kit Kat and Snickers rounding out the top 5 at 76.7% of responses saying it was the best. As for the least-liked candy, that honor goes to Good & Plenty, with just 21.9% of respondents saying it was their favorite.  Beware of Boston Baked Beans, Chiclets, Super Bubble, Jaw Busters and Root Beer Barrels, which all ranked lowest and quite possibly be the treat that prompts a trick to your home. As for  the "winning ingredient" in our favorite candies, the survey found Hershey has the best solid chocolate bar, Baby Ruth having the best nougat, Milky Way with the best caramel, Reese's having the best peanut butter and Twix owning eh best wafer category. Americans will buy over 600million pounds of candy for Halloween this year with the average American spending $79.82 on candy each year!
