Fashion! Turn to the left. Fashion! Turn to the right. Science says you have 7 seconds to make a good impression, whether you're interviewing for a job, meeting people or trying to woo someone and how you look plays a big part in that 7 second evaluation. So here are some fashion tips from experts when it comes to dressing to impress. Stick to a chino or business suit in a dark color with a classic blouse or shirt. TI shows you take pride in yourself and conveys comfort to those who you are meeting. Avoid bright, shiny or bold patterns. While these items accentuate your personality, when first meeting someone it can be overwhelming for that first 7 seconds. Albeit should be a no-brainer to not wear jeans and a t-shirt on a first meeting, unless you are meeting someone associated with a particular jean or t-shirt, it doesn't bode well for that first impression. The 'fake it till you make it' mentality in fashion really holds true that if you are dressed the way you would like to be perceived, then you start to feel and then act that way.
