Did you know that 'spider season' is a thing? If not, now you do. Hot weather followed by heavy downpours has apparently sent spiders wild and millions of the arachnids are heading into our homes to start families. Spider season is usually thought to happen in the autumn but many people say the unusually hot summer is causing early season. According to the research, females were more likely to be found on ceilings, doors and windows, with males frequently spotted on walls. Analyzing data from spider sighting, scientists say spider season usually hits its peak at around mid-September.  However this year, more spiders are being seen indoors in July and August. But don't worry, even if spider season is a little early this year, it generally only lasts for a few weeks.
