So the new iPhone is out and perhaps it is finally time for you to get a new phone.  The good news is you don't have to spend over a thousand dollars on the latest models.  You can save some cash by shopping the earlier-generation iPhone models still on the market that offer great performance for texting, surfing the web, watching music and movies, and taking great photos and videos—but for considerably less money. For instance the now discontinued iPhone X, released last year for $1,000, is now $899.  Also being discontinued are the iPhone 6s, 6s Plus as well as the bigger memory versions of the 7 and 7 Plus (which should be around a little bit longer than the 6) which are $450 & $550 for the Plus versions, that still are great smartphones to own. All are compatible with the latest operating system, so all your apps and games will work fine. All contain the same 12 mega pixel cameras and nearly identical 5MP face cameras, so your pictures will still look incredible and even the iPhone 8 can charge wirelessly if that is what draws you to the latest versions. So before you upgrade to the latest phone iPhone XS or XR, take a look at the versions it is replacing.  The only exception would be if you want a larger screen, then the iPhone XR  is it with a 6.5 inch display compared to the 5.8 inches of the iPhone X and the 5.5 inches of the Plus models. Or if you want to join the Android nation, some of the top-end models from Samsung and LG start below $900!
