The Most Popular "Fun Size" Candy In America

The time is almost here where you will be judged based on the candy you offer to trick-or-treaters. So to help you make good decisions at the grocery store this weekend, a recent online poll of 8,300 people and around 269,000 randomly generated pictures of candies has found that the most popular "fun size" candy are Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, where it won 84.2% of the votes. Coming in at a distant number two are the peanut butter cup's cousin, Reese's miniature peanut butter cups with 81.9% of the votes. Twix, Kit Kat and Snickers round out the top 5. Reese’s Pieces was ranked at number six, followed by Milky Way, Reese’s Stuffed With Pieces, Peanut Butter M&M’s and Butterfinger at number 10. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and their spinoffs taking four of the top 10 spots and appearing pretty synonymous with the platonic ideal of Halloween candy. The brand was the best-selling candy in the U.S. as of 2013, and market research showed it was the top snack-sized candy in Halloween times. However chocolate is still the preferred candy type, followed by fruit flavor, peanuts and nuts, crispy and caramel are desired. Hard candy, such as lollipops and jawbreakers are least liked.
