Florida Is Not A Very Friendly State

August 26, 2019

Florida may be in the southern portion of the United States but we are not as friendly as our southern neighbors.  A new survey from the travel website, Big 7 Travel, ranks Florida near the bottom of the list when it comes to the friendliest states in the US. The Sunshine State is the 42nd friendliest and it seems that south Florida is why we are near the bottom of the rankings as Miami is often voted as one of the least friendly cities in the country. While Florida may stick out in the generally friendly south, it was an upper Midwest state that is ranked the friendliest.  Minnesota takes the stop spot, thanks to its extraordinarily friendly residents.  It’s called ‘Minnesota Nice’ for a reason – the atmosphere in the Twin Cities and beyond is hard to match, with a homey feel and locals who go the extra mile to welcome tourists. Tennessee, South Carolina, Texas and Wyoming round out the top 5.
