Insomnia is no joke and can come out of nowhere at times.  You avoid caffeine, stress and even kept off your phone but you still toss and turn.  You'll try just but anything to get some rest, so here is what you should try tonight if you can’t sleep...hum.  According to a sleeping expert with 25 years practice, humming stimulates the sleep hormone, melatonin, which is necessary for your mind to quiet down and muscles relax for a blissful slumber.  She suggest inhaling through your nose and letting out a slight 'hum' as you exhale.  Speaking of breathing, shallow breathing means the sympathetic nervous system is permanently activated (fight or flight), raising heart-rate and blood pressure and making deep sleep hard. SO make sure to take deep breaths and hum slowly.
